St. Elizabeth’s has been a Mission in the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas for 40 years. We are an open, inviting, and inclusive community of Christ followers who seek to love our God and our neighbors by being a loving presence in the communities of Buda/Kyle and surrounding areas.
The Rev. Martha McKee
Interim Vicar
Bishop Read has appointed The Rev. Martha McKee as the interim Vicar of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church. She will serve our community, leading us in worship, study, and prayer in the months to come. Her first Sunday will be Sunday, May 4th 2025. If you have an questions about this time of transition, please reach out to Will Piferrer – our Bishop’s Warden – or any other member of the Bishop’s committee.
Wanda Slater
Music Director / Church Administrator
Wanda Slater has been Director of Music at St. Elizabeth’s since 2015 and for over fifty years has performed as a Soprano Soloist, Church Cantor, Choir Director, Vocal Instructor, and Accompanist in a wide variety of settings. The music of the church has always been her passion and her goal is to bring sacred music to life in a way that is both meaningful and transformative. At St. Elizabeth’s, she has been blessed to work closely with her husband, Mark, whose contributions as a Trumpet player, as well as Composer and Arranger, have been invaluable in building a vibrant program of singers and instrumentalists. Away from church, Wanda loves baking, sewing, reading, entertaining, and traveling, and also works as an Executive Coach with Frame of Mind Coaching based in Toronto, Canada.
